THINGS TO REMEMBER
-
Although UCAS will accept your form from the 1st September, there's really no need to be that early. Yes, if you get your application in earlier, you may have a better chance of securing a place. But there's early and then there's really early.
- Get it done and out of the way, but don't rush it. Use the time at the start of Upper 6th to go through your options and your thoughts with friends and tutors.
-
If you're applying to:
Oxford or Cambridge: Then the deadline for applications is the 15th October. (best to be a few days before this). Remember you also have to fill out another form for these two universities.
Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science: The deadline is also 15th October.
- The deadline for Route A applications is 15th January.
- For route B courses, you can apply between 1st January and 24th March
- If you accept a deferred entry, you cannot reapply next academic year unless you withdraw your application by 30th September.
Read on to find out about the UCAS form
Or go back to applying to uni.
Disclaimer: The above timetable is suggested as a guide only. Please make sure that you check with UCAS to ensure the dates above are correct. Also, your college/school will probably provide their own timetable, in which case it might be better to do things the way they tell you...
