RealUni.com was set up to help students learn more about Higher Education and the differences between universities. Whilst we have lots of experience at university and will help you if we can, we're not trained to give careers advise.

That's why we've teamed up with Connexions to help you understand your career choices and options at 18+. Read on to find out what Connexions is and how they can help…

What is Connexions?

Connexions is a national support service for all young people aged 13-19.

What do they Do?

They provide a range of free information, advice, guidance and support. You can get help with advice on careers and educational choices, but also a whole range of issues such as bullying, drugs, money or relationships.

Who Can Use It?

Every young people aged 13-19 in England can have free access to Connexions, whether they are at school, in further or higher education, in or out of training or work.

How does it Work?

All young people (that’s you) can have access to a Personal Adviser. They are properly trained adults who will talk through your options with you. They aim to be able to help you with anything which might be affecting you at school, college, work or in your personal or family life.

Advisers won’t tell you what to do, but will help you make your own choices by making you aware of the options that are open to you and will ensure that you really understand what each different route entails.
